Appalachian
The Appalachian is constructed of tough Oltonar/Royalex® with a shallow arch bottom for a good combination of initial and secondary stability. Whitewater enthusiasts will particularly appreciate the canoe’s quick response and tight handling in conditions up to Class III. And with a few design features borrowed from the Penobscot 16, the canoe’s speed is as noteworthy as its agility.
It can be paddled solo or tandem, and at 1075 lbs. carrying capacity, the Appalachian is also a great choice for family outings or day trips.
Standard features include vinyl gunwales, polyethylene decks, nylon web seats, grab loops, and ash yoke and thwart.
