Gulfstream
The Gulfstream kayak represents a union of effort between North America and Europe, through the collaboration of kayak designers from both continents. World-famous designer and paddler Derek Hutchinson has teamed up with Current Designs designer Brian Henry to develop the majestic Gulfstream kayak.
Building on the strengths of Derek Hutchinson's favorite kayak hull, Brian and Derek created the craft to deliver a magical blend of British flair and outstanding performance, with a North American influence, and high tech construction.
The Gulfstream is highly maneuverable and will appeal to those who want to make their kayak dance with a tilt of the boat and the stroke of the paddle. The Gulfstream responds beautifully. Both the highly experienced paddler and the novice will enjoy the Gulfstream because of its performance, as well as its forgiving nature.

Thanks to the technology of vacuum bagging, the weight of this British style kayak is only 54 pounds in fiberglass and 48 pounds in KEVLAR®.
The Gulfstream is equipped with forward and stern hatches constructed of a sturdy rubber material which provides a completely waterproof seal. The forward hatch is round and 9 1/2" in diameter. The stern hatch is oval and measures 11" x 16 1/2". These conveniently designed hatches provide ample space for storing and retrieving gear.
The unique day hatch on the starboard side, just behind the paddler, has a 7 1/2" diameter round access hatch. The day hatch is within arm's reach of the paddler from the cockpit. A third bulkhead behind the access hatch makes this compartment self contained.
Features such as recessed deck fittings and perimeter lines are standard on every Gulfstream.
A retractable skeg is standard on the Gulfstream. It is designed to add directional stability to the
kayak in adverse conditions, or when the paddler requires stiffer tracking.
If you look good in a kayak, the Gulfstream will make you look marvelous!
