Daytouring boats are designed similar to extended touring and sea kayaking boats, but are generally a bit smaller and lighter, and provide less storage capacity than their bigger cousins. Still, there's plenty of room for gear, and many designs have watertight bulkhead areas fore and/or aft.

Their short length limits speed somewhat, so the distances you cover in a full day of paddling may be less than larger boats, but they're great for kayak camping weekends or a good workout on the lake.

This big boy takes the very best of our original Carolina and increases the cockpit size and height to accommodate the bigger brethren in the paddling family. We've increased its volume as well as the cargo capacity by adding nearly fifteen inches from its little brother.

Carolina II 17.5

Sometimes the best way to travel is in pairs and nothing travels better that way than the new Carolina II 17.5. The superior wide beam tandem design is unbelievably stable. As part of the Carolina family, it is seaworthy and incredibly easy to paddle for paddlers of any experience level.
