Designed for adventurous souls, these boats are longer and more narrow than recreational or light-touring kayaks. While their narrower beams offer less initial stability, most have excellent secondary stability and maneuverability in rough seas.

Most feature front and rear bulkheads for gear storage on long trips, too.
